Together for a bright future
They need love
They need food
They need fun
They need water
They need education
DAKi International is actively offering sponsorships for children in Senya Beraku, Ghana.
Senya Beraku is a region in central Ghana approximately 50km from its capital city Accra.
Many people in the area live well below the poverty line and have to survive with as little as 1USD per day. There is hardly any money to purchase food, medication in case of illness and school fees. It is a daily struggle to survive.
The truth is that around 65% of children in Senya Beraku don’t have access to even basic education.
2 out of 5 children don’t have the financial means to be able to go to school. Their parents or guardians simply can’t afford it.
We partner with Miracle Works Educational Complex NGO which is located in Senya Beraku and run by our friend Seth Barnes. Not only has Seth Barnes NGO done numerous studies, he is also the project manager of our current mission of building a home for disadvantaged and homeless children.
Miracle Works studies show that children, especially girls, aren’t allowed to go to school and to be educated in any way. They are are forced to do illegal child labour.
Oftentimes they are smuggled into other communities where they are being kept in kitchens to work or where they have to look after other younger children, far away from home with no chance to ever have a normal life.
The community of Senya Beraku has to live under extreme circumstances which are unimaginable in the modern world. Extreme poverty, bad sanitary conditions, high unemployment rates, very little access to clean water and any food at all. These circumstances have severe negative effects on children’s mental and physical well-being.
We want to change this, but we can’t do it alone.
Let's do it together !
